Hunting  in Columbia County

Columbia County offers excellent hunting opportunities! Whether hunting with a gun, bow, or a camera, there are plenty of opportunities to capture white-tail deer, wild turkeys, water fowl, and small game. There are hundreds of acres of public hunting areas as well as private land for enjoyment of these activities. Please check with the Department of Natural Resources for hunting regulations and always ask permission before entering private lands.

Fishing in Columbia County

The bountiful waterways in the county feature fish ranging from River Sturgeon to Bluegill and Crappie. The Wisconsin River which meanders through the county offers excellent Walleye, Northern Pike, River Sturgeon, and an assortment of other fish including catfish. The numerous other lakes and streams in Columbia County offer the same wide variety of sport fishing. The county also offers trout fishing with public access to quality trout streams. Please check with the Department of Natural Resources for season and fishing regulations.
